My Biography
Alexanderia is a seasoned foreign policy expert with over a decade of experience in international communications, global business, and diplomacy. She has had a distinguished career as a U.S. Diplomat at the U.S. Department of State, managing U.S.-Tanzanian bilateral relations and U.S. immigration policy in Mexico. Alexanderia was also the Program Officer in the Bureau of Diplomatic Security’s Overseas Security Advisory Council, advising multinational corporations on security issues in Latin America and U.S. academic institutions on protecting U.S. students abroad. She was the lead Press Officer in the Office of the Coordinator for Afghan Relocation Efforts, where she shaped messaging on U.S. resettlement and relocation of Afghan allies, which was featured in CNN, the Washington Post, and other media outlets. Alexanderia published articles in State Magazine on CARE’s roles on leading U.S. relocation efforts of Afghan allies and its importance to protecting U.S. national security, earning an award at the Department.
Renowned for her entrepreneurial mindset, Alexanderia has successfully built coalitions and scaled start-up businesses in Honduras and Rwanda in the cosmetic sector. As the former Board Member of Black Professionals in International Affairs (2021-2023), Alexanderia led the communications team in producing the Global Take Podcast discussing global issues from the Black American perspective. She served as the Communications Specialist for the USAID mission in Nigeria and earned an award for her coverage of the shutdown of the agency.
Alexanderia has published articles on US immigration, US-Africa Policy, trade, development, and Latin American policy in Semafor, Devex, State Magazine, and the Black Wall Street Times. Alexanderia holds a B.A. in Political Science from Xavier University of Louisiana and an M.A. in International Administration from the University of Denver. She speaks Spanish and French and has traveled to over 20 countries and now lives in Maryland with her family.
